happening for humanity today?
We can see evidence of evolution in individuals but looking at humanity as a whole and our collective consciousness, the pace of change is very slow. The mills of the gods grind slowly but they grind exceedingly fine.

When we consider the question of whether or not there is a broad spiritual awakening and transformation happening in humanity today, here are the signs we are looking for:
- - a more truth dominant evolutionary awareness that is trans ego-centric, with holistic values,
- - increasing recognition of oneness and respect for the interdependence between all living beings,
- - increasing regard for the dignity and sacredness of life itself.
We all share life; without life we have nothing. The more we evolve, the more we grow our value for that essential life. This is the real bottom line for all of us—valuing life. This reduces conflict and suffering, disagreements, conflicts, and wars. We do see a movement in that direction. We are not so eager to create conflict. Of course, the news only brings us stories about conflict! But when we study statistics, it’s a different story.
place, it may not actually feel that way.”
“During 2012—the most recent year for which there are data—the number of conflicts being waged around the world dropped sharply, from 37 to 32. High–intensity conflicts have declined by more than half since the end of the Cold War, while terrorism, genocide and homicide numbers are also down.” 1
This article went on to mention that although the world is, statistically, a safer place, it may not actually feel that way. Well, we live in a relative reality. We can’t have one polarity without the other. As wholeness increases, it is always in relation to illusion. For eons, illusion and fragmentation were dominant. Now the polarities are reversing and truth is gaining some dominance over illusion. We can see truth increasing but truth triggers our illusory shadows, now ready to be dismantled.
So, although there is less conflict, the conflict we experience—for instance the up tick in police killing black people—is more obvious. Partly, this is happening because of the media. Everyone has a phone with a camera. Police may not release their videos but bystanders post theirs on-line immediately and millions of viewers watch what really happened.
we are experiencing an increasing dominance of light.”
This exposes the difference between official stories and the truth. It doesn’t take cameras to know that the same is happening overall. The more we experience the truth, the more we also experience the illusion, side by side. What’s important is to continue gaining momentum in truthful experience and to continue dismantling illusion.
This is the dance of darkness and light. Humanity has existed in a state of dominant darkness, now we are experiencing an increasing dominance of light. But the more the light increases, the more it attracts darkness to dispel. Here comes illusion, ready to be replaced with truth. We will always see that oscillation until transformation is complete and the question will always be: “What is dominant?”
We can take an active interest in finding agreement with each other, even the agreement to disagree without persuasion into “my way or the highway.” My way is simply another way to consider and so is yours. We can determine together what is the best way for all of us.
Thankfully, we do see some general signs of this in the collective consciousness. We also see it environmentally, in relation to the world around us. Of course, climate change crises are crashing in our face now, as we come to terms with how destructive we have been in relation to nature. This is challenging us. Will we continue the same ego-centric disregard for everything but ourselves—which could lead to the end of humanity—or will we change course and survive, even thrive?
The age of the internet has brought a much greater connectivity between us, helping to make human interaction much more trans-ego centric. In the literal instant an email transmits and a YouTube posts, we can see that we all share the same underlying values. This is ushering in a holistic emergence of expanded awareness.
When we witness conflict we’re shocked, not just because of the acts themselves, but because of the contrast with what is trending within us. Increasingly, our human norm is for a state of respectful, peaceful co-existence. That’s why the opposite is so jarring. This makes it easier to choose and to behave according to our values. This is how transformation in humanity occurs, one individual at a time.
