“He who learns to give way is the master of strength.”
Lao Tzu always speaks from a trans-egoic and holistic perspective. If everything is but the happening of consciousness… resistance is illusion. In truth… how can consciousness resist itself? Consciousness rather flows with itself… as all and everything. In this understanding… he who gives way is the master of strength.
The fragmented egoic perspective is illusory separation. If I as a subject am separate from all objects that I encounter… then I am at the effect of all eternal causes. Such perceived weakness demands that I resist in order to overpower and dominate… to become the cause rather than the effect. Yet… separation is illusion because there is only one consciousness as both subject and object. Resistance is thus fantasy.
This week… let us increase our wakefulness and truthfully perceive the happenings of consciousness and allow consciousness to be the way that it is. Then we can determine who we choose to be in relation to it. We can choose to be the same consciousness and give way to consciousness and be more masterful in the creation of our experience. Such is the way of Lao Tzu.
