“Let your life lightly dance on the edges of time like dew on the tip of a leaf.”
~Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941)
Tagore’s statement is absolutely beautiful. It embodies the essence of wakefulness and is a perfect description of precision meditation.
A dewdrop poised on the tip of a leaf is present in the here and now of a moment. It is wakeful within the momentary happening of its experience. The dewdrop is authentically meditating.
Meditation is all about balance….. precision balance. When balance is precise wholeness emerges and wholeness is wakefulness. It is sourceful awareness suspended beyond time and space. Within the most subtle dimensions of experience, a witnessing consciousness watches. There is stillness, there is emptiness and only sourceful awareness is. Such is the nature of holistic experience.
Use Tagore’s statement as an analogy for your meditation. Be the dewdrop poised in wakeful wholeness on the tip of a leaf, and be absolutely still within the sublime awareness of source.
Then all doing drops away, all effort is abandoned and there is only a sourceful state of being. Such is precision meditation.
