I laugh when I hear that the fish in the sea are thirsty.

“I laugh when I hear that the fish in the sea are thirsty.”
Kabir

Indeed it is absurd to think that the fish in the sea are thirsty and it is equally absurd in terms of human beings and the life energy that empowers us.  Life energy is conscious.  It is aware of itself existing.  Thus it is also termed consciousness.  And further… it is an innately joyous energy.  In and of itself… it is happy for no reason.  Thus it is ultimately termed blissful consciousness.

Blissful consciousness then is the substratum or ground of being of all and everything.  Just like the fish in the sea… we are immersed in it 24/7.  To say that we are thirsty for blissful consciousness… is to say that we think that it does not exist… even when in truth we are surrounded and empowered by it… and without it we do not exist.  It is laughable then from the holistic perspective of one blissful consciousness to observe human beings searching for what they already have… and believing that they are other than they truly are.

This week… let us endeavor to be more truthfully wakeful of who we are and what life is… as one blissful consciousness.  In truth… we cannot be other than we are.

Just as the fish in the sea are surrounded by and permeated with water… we are surrounded by and permeated with blissful consciousness.  Indeed… there is only one.
