“Only a sage can understand the ten thousand things and bring
them into the self.”
In truth… there is only one. It is often termed blissful consciousness. It is the essence of all and everything. Thus the one is the many. It is the essential unity within all diversity. While it is easy to understand the concept… the experiential actualization is often more challenging and relegated to the arena of enlightened sages.
As sage is another name for a master… a human being who has mastered being human in terms of holistic experience. Such are the ones who not only intellectually understand that the ten thousand things are in essence but one blissful consciousness… but also actualize and embody the experience. They are constantly holistically wakeful and blissful.
This week… let us endeavor to be more masterful in terms of our experience of the one in the many. Let us be wakeful and experience the one blissful consciousness that is the essence of all and everything that we encounter. All objects to us as subjects… are the same one. To cultivate such holistic wakefulness… is to more consistently experience blissful consciousness.
