“See into life. Don’t just look at it.”
Merely looking at life is like treading water at the surface and being unaware of the depths below. The surface of the ocean is objective life and if we are dominantly objective we are imbalanced and fragmented in our experience of life. Imbalanced and fragmented experience is illusory… which means that our experience of reality is virtual rather than true. At the surface of the ocean… the waves can illusorily appear as separate and different from each other and we forget that they are but parts of one ocean.
Seeing into life is to open our awareness of the depths of the ocean simultaneous to the surface waves. The surface waves are the diversity and the depths are the unity… of one ocean. Such is holistic experience. It results from the sustained balance of the objective and subjective polarities of one blissful consciousness. Thus to see into life is a radically different experience than merely looking at it. Seeing into life is both subjective and objective… and the balance of the two that delivers true holistic experience.
For example… are you merely looking at life right here and right now? Are you so dominantly focused on the objective screen in front of you upon which I am appearing that you are unaware of the subjective essence that is you watching? Rather… open your awareness and include the simultaneity of both… the interior and the exterior… are the same life… the same blissful consciousness. Always remember that it is through balance that we experience true holistic reality.
This week… practice truthfully looking into life rather than at life. Cultivate the balance of the interior and the exterior that results in the true holistic experience of one blissful consciousness. All else is illusion.
