“The beginning of wisdom is calling things by their right names.”
It could be said that the evolution of individuated consciousness is characterized as a progression from complexity to simplicity. In terms of the mind… we begin with great complexity and proceed to ever-increasing simplicity. Initially… there are just too many stories and definitions about this that and everything. The complexity is limiting and exhausting… so we learn to simplify. This is the beginning of wisdom. Truthful experience is not about quantity but rather quality.
The difference is between truth and illusion. In illusion… we do not call things by their right names. We rather use illusory names… definitions and stories. In truth… we extract ourselves from illusion and call things by their right names. And what is the right name of anything and everything? Is it not that which points to the truth? For example… a human being is a form of consciousness… and so is all and everything. The right name is always the simplified essence of what is.
This week… open your awareness to simplified essence. When you use a name… be simultaneously aware that you are really just describing another form of the same consciousness that you are… that all is. In this way… you will simplify your complexity and enjoy a more truthful experience of reality.
